MURCIA, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL — Beyond the demanding schedules, responsibilities, and commitments that come with serving others, the members and officers of Medics For Health found a special moment to come together—not only as colleagues and volunteers, but as one family. Held on August 16, 2026, at CJ Rest House in Barangay Sta. Rosa, Murcia, Negros Occidental, the team-building activity became a meaningful day of laughter, fellowship, friendship, and renewed commitment to the organization's mission and vision. The activity was spearheaded by Medics For Health President Ms. Kim Diongon, with a program thoughtfully prepared by Ms. Krystel and Sir Owen. The activities were designed to help members know one another beyond their usual roles, open up to each other, and build stronger relationships through teamwork and shared experiences. For many members, it was more than simply a day away from their busy schedules. It was an opportunity to discover the personalities, stories, and strengths of the people they work alongside—creating a deeper connection that can strengthen the organization as a whole. The spirit of generosity was also evident throughout the gathering. CJ Rest House was graciously provided free of charge, while the overflowing food was made possible through the generous contributions of the members. Each contribution, big or small, reflected the same spirit of cooperation that defines the organization. During the gathering, Medics For Health Founder and CEO Dr. Leonard Baraquia shared an inspiring message, reminding everyone to remain steadfast in pursuing the organization's vision and mission. Dr. Leonard Baraquia emphasized that the continued success of Medics For Health depends on the cooperation, dedication, and unity of every member. When everyone works together and supports one another, the organization becomes stronger and more capable of making a difference in the community. The team-building ultimately left the members with a simple but powerful realization: the better people know one another, the stronger the bond becomes; and the stronger the bond, the stronger the team. As the day came to an end, the members returned to their respective responsibilities carrying more than memories of laughter and fun. They brought with them a renewed sense of belonging, friendship, and purpose. Because in Medics For Health, service is not only about what one can give to others.
